The MBIQ-P for Shimano EP801 / EP6 / EP600 mid-drive motors is a "hybrid" tuning system with two different manipulation modes on board and was specifically developed for the latest generation of motors.
The existing speed sensor can be plugged in directly. The tuning module has the same connectors as the existing sensor cable, so it can be easily inserted between the speed sensor and the engine control unit.
It is compatible with the manufacturers' common motor firmwares and operates on a microcontroller basis.
The current speed profile is analyzed, processed, and manipulated values are output if tuning is activated.

"hybrid-tamper"
Instead of the familiar FREEZE manipulation (freezing the speedometer below 25 km/h), the module uses a new, additional manipulation method: DAMP mode. Here, the manipulated speed output is "damped" according to an algorithm, resulting in a final speed with a factor of X.

Compatible with most common engine firmware from manufacturers. The manipulated values do not affect the evaluation of the engine software.

highly integrated electronic
Thanks to the highly integrated electronics, tuning takes place in a very small installation space. No additional power supply/battery is required for operation.
In its factory default state, the module is in DAMP mode with a set factor of 1.35 . This allows for a maximum speed of up to approximately 34 km/h.
Adjusting the value/mode is the responsibility of the owner and may (but does not necessarily) lead to tamper detection.
This is indicated by the ERROR code: E295. Should this appear, the value/mode must be adjusted back immediately.
Caution: The preset value has proven to be error-free in our tests, but this is not a guarantee. Should you receive errors regardless of the operating mode, remove the module immediately and contact the manufacturer. If error E295 is ignored repeatedly, the entire drive unit will be locked and error E299 will be displayed. This can only be reversed by the dealer!

Please ensure that your ACC port is live after switching on the device. Apparently, some manufacturers disable this port by default. If this is the case, you can have the port activated by the retailer in advance, or ->Borrow/order the diagnostic device for activation here! |

The current speed profile is analyzed and processed, and manipulated values are displayed when tuning is activated. As a result, the speed display is always reduced when driving above 25 km/h, depending on the mode selected.
(The total mileage is correspondingly lower)
